Our Circles There are seven active circles at First Presbyterian. All combine fellowship, Bible study, and mission. We hope there is one to accommodate every woman's schedule. You can click on the underlined circle names to find out more about that group and see a larger image.
A.C.T.S. is for Action, Commitment, Talent, and Service. A.C.T.S. meets in the parlor the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30 A.M. for fellowship and Bible study – coffee and refreshments are served. A sitter is provided with prior notification for a small fee. We invite all women who share our concerns to join us.
B.E.T.H. refers to “Be Ever Thankful to Him” and meets the second Tuesday of each month at 12:00 P.M. in Knox Fellowship Hall. Bring a sack lunch; hostess will provide dessert and beverage. Our comment circle invites you to participate in our discussions, Bible study, book reviews, and field trips pertinent to today’s woman.
D.A.R.E. stands for Discover the need, Ask for resources, Respond with action, Enjoy togetherness. We meet in Knox Fellowship Hall at 12:30 P.M. on the second Wednesday of each month. Dessert and beverage served. We are a group of loving, laughing ladies who share our joys, sorrows, and prayers. We invite you to join us.
DEBORAH meets in room 208-210 on the second Thursday of each month at 10:00 A.M. – coffee & continental breakfast provided. We enjoy our study lessons and have lively discussions on the study topic. We are a caring group of women who support each other along the good and troubled times of life.
LYDIA meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7:15 P.M. in the parlor. Tea and coffee are provided. Lydia circle is named after Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth, who is one of the first working women mentioned in the Bible (Acts 16:11). We are a group of caring working women who like to share with each other and support each other.
MARTHA meets in the church parlor the second Tuesday of each month at noon – Bring a sack lunch; dessert served. Our circle is made up of members with many talents who are willing, cooperative workers in the church. They are warm and friendly. Come, join us for study and good fellowship.
PHOENIX meets in various homes the third Tuesday evening of each month at 7:15 p.m. Dessert provided. The Phoenix Circle is a group of women of varying ages and backgrounds. We are a warm and friendly group joined together for fellowship and study. We are supportive and share both personal and church concerns.
