Pastoral Care

Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Pastoral care at First Presbyterian is accomplished by a team composed of our pastor, Reverend Sue Ellis Melrose, Deacons, Stephen Ministers and other lay leaders. We strive to include all members in our church family, whether they are in church every Sunday or homebound. Upon request, Deacons will administer communion to home- or hospital-bound members on communion Sundays. (The first Sunday of each month.)

When a member is suddenly ill or in crisis, the pastor definitely would like to be notified. Please call the church office at 248-474-6170.

If you find yourself in a position of needing longer term one-on-one counseling, we have Stephen Ministers that are qualified and available to help you.
