Westminster Presbyterian Church's Respond Program
The Respond program at Westminster Presbyterian Church on the west side of Detroit is dedicated to preparing and serving lunch to guests from area group homes and local area shut-ins. Over 100 nutrious, balanced meals are served every Saturday to senior and adult foster care persons.
Our church has committed to preparing and serving lunch on the third Saturday in the months of January, March, May, July and September. As part of the meal, volunteers bake homemade cookies. Volunteers meet at the church at 10 am to carpool and return by 2 p.m. Sign-up sheets are in the Narthex.
